Sports & Active Schools

Another proud moment for the Kilbeg National School community I am delighted to announce that Kilbeg National School has been awarded an Active Schools Flag for our years and years of hard work and dedication in promoting, developing and embedding an active lifestyle in our school environment πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†

As a school team and community, we have been working towards achieving this since my arrival to Kilbeg NS in 2019! I am delighted that our efforts to encourage and inspire a love of being active, getting fit and enjoying sport and activity has been acknowledged, recognised and awarded. It is very visible how much love and talent our pupils have for a huge variety of sports and we have really built on the range of competitive and non-competitive sports available for our pupils throughout the last two years particularly, thanks to the interest and support of our staff and often extended family members as coaches!

Together, our school community has not only achieved this flag and much sporting success along this journey, but also shown great sportsmanship, teamwork and commitment, in our efforts.

We will proudly raise our flag on Monday 9th June at 11.45am and parents are most welcome to attend and enjoy a tea/ coffee and a chat in the gym from 11.15am.

We have a treat arranged for all pupils after the flag has been raised!

Well done to Mrs. Lennon and all school staff for your amazing efforts and energy throughout the years πŸ’ͺπŸ‘πŸ†

I'm so proud of what we've achieved together
