This week we celebrate all acts of kindness in Kilbeg NS. On Monday, we held a whole-school assembly to get ideas from everyone about how we can make our school an even better place. In class, we read 'Have You Filled A Bucket Today?' by Carol McCloud....A lovely story about an imaginary bucket that gets filled by kindness but can also get emptied by unkindness. We then used some pictures to discuss different scenarios to see if they would be 'bucket fillers' or 'bucket dippers'. The kids loved it and responded so well. We finished with make a class promise where each child coloured in a promise poster to have kind hands , kind feet and use kind words! A nice wholesome activity to help us remember to make a conscious effort to be kinder to each other every day and that the little acts of kindness can go a long way in making someone feel valued, appreciated and connected ❤️
