International Dot Day!
15th Sep 2025
On Monday 15th of September, we celebrated International Dot Day by reading the book ‘The Dot’ by Peter H. Reynolds.
The Dot is the story of a young girl named Vashti who believes she can’t draw. When her teacher encourages her to “just make a mark and see where it takes you,” Vashti starts with a simple dot. That small beginning grows into a journey of creativity, confidence, and self-expression. The book shows the power of encouragement and how even the smallest mark can lead to something wonderful.
This story inspired us to create our own pictures, starting with just a dot. We then brought our pictures to life by using the Quiver app.
