The children enjoyed creating their very own celebratory fireworks scene using chalk pastels 🎆
This mixed media fireworks art project was a big hit with the children and the perfect way to explore celebrations within art, such as New Years Eve! Chalk pastels can be messy ( but so much fun!) 😉
We looked at a lot of fireworks and cityscape photos before starting this project for inspiration.
The children then choose their fireworks colours and designs to make their artwork unique. The bright pastels really popped on the black paper, creating bright, colourful and explosive looking fireworks!
Next they doodled and drew buildings, playing with shapes and lines to create a " cityscape" for their fireworks display 🌃
They attempted to draw their own house or community and even included themselves, family or friends in the pictures! Can you spot anyone? 😉
