As part of our friendship lessons this week, we read the story 'The Rainbow Fish' by Marcus Pfister, a tale about a beautiful fish who learns that true happiness comes from kindness and sharing.
By sharing his shimmering scales with the other fish, he finds happiness, belonging and connection with his friends.
We then gathered some craft supplies and started making our own wonderful fish 🐟 🐠 ✨️ We added sparkly scales to make sure our paper plate fish looked beautiful just like Rainbow Fish!
This bright and colourful activity was great to exercise the children's fine motor skills, creativity and imagination while at the same time, developing the concept of friendship and kindness by identifying one kind thing they could do for a friend or family member ❤️
