We are learning about autumn and going on an autumn hunt was a brilliant excuse to get outdoors and explore seasonal change on our school grounds. The children were engaged and excited as they set off on their sensory walk, using their Autumn Hunt Checklist and ticking off the key sights. This activity let them see up close the autumnal changes as leaves change from green to shades of gold and red, feel the different textures of natural materials and listen to the sounds they make. We were hoping to see a squirrel scampering about but we guess he was too busy hiding acorns from our oak tree!
